Donation of the Knight Order to Caritas of Vrhbosna archdiocese

On October 10th, Caritas of the Vrhbosna Archdiocese (VN) - the Lug branch (Kiseljak) received a valuable donation of food for children and the elderly, which was handed over to Archbishop of Vrhbosna, cardinal Vinko Puljić, in the presence of rev. Mirko Šimić, director of Caritas VN, by Klaus Blos from the knightly order Ordo Militaris Teutonicus (OMT) from Germany.

The donation is the result of the collaboration of Blos and Thomas Schott, the Prior of The Universal Archconfraternity of Papal Knights Dames And Esquires, with whom through the Director of the Caritas of the Archdiocese of Vrhbosna, rev. Šimić, would like to help BiH's “brothers and sisters in faith”.

This is the first donation made by OMT to a country outside the European Union, and is one of 31 donations made this year by the Knights Order. Its value is around 60 000 euros and consists of four types of food products for children and the elderly, or almost 44 500 pieces. He also expressed his gratitude to the Cardinal with a special gift - the Cross of the Grand Master of the OMT and a decree recently received only by the Cardinal Stanisław Dziwisz in Krakow.

Archbishop Puljić also expressed his great appreciation for the donation and presented the gifts to Blos and his wife Gabriela.
