Three Decades of Croatian Suffering at Stipić meadow

In the municipality of Jablanica, on July 28th, precisely at Stipić Meadow above Doljani, the 30th anniversary of the suffering of 39 Croatian civilians and defenders was solemnly commemorated.

After the laying of wreaths and lighting of candles, a Eucharistic ceremony followed, celebrated by the parish priest of the faithful community of Doljani, OFM Stjepan Pavličević, with the concelebration of several priests, including OFM Božo Milić, the guardian of Tomislavgrad.

At the beginning of the sermon, OFM Stjepan asked those present to observe 30 seconds of silence for three decades of silence regarding this massacre. He went on to address the Croatian political representatives, questioning whether they could have done anything to shed light on the crime and why they remain silent as if they don't care. He emphasized that it has become a poor habit for politicians to come on this day "just for show," with material gain being their subconscious motive. He also questioned what the attendees would think when they face God's truth, whether they will have to answer "why did we stay silent for these 30 years and cooperated and allied with the weeds".

A reminder: On July 28th 1993, members of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina liquidated 17 Croats in Doljani during their attack, mostly using cold weapons, and then 22 people at Stipić Meadow. Apart from one indictment brought before the court in Mostar, which was dismissed, no one has been held accountable for this crime.
