In the monastery of the Holy Spirit in Fojnica on November 13th, a Holy Mass marked the 26th anniversary of the murder of OFM Nikica Miličević and OFM Leon Migić. On this occasion, the Eucharist was led by the guardian of the monastery and the parish priest in Fojnica, OFM Mirko Majdandžić.
In his sermon, OFM Mirko said that some words come to mind on sad anniversaries, one of them being holiness. “The first thought of this word is our saints and blessed ones, but if we look at the saints and blessed ones, we will see how we can find ourselves in some”, he said, mentioning the second word, which is “forgiveness”, which is important for peace among nations around the world. Furthermore, the Guardian of Fojnica emphasized the third word “preservation” and emphasized that OFM Nikica and OFM Leon sacrificed themselves for all of us, that is, they gave their lives for our future. “We have to implement the responsibility that we have and preserve everything we have”, OFM Mirko said at the end.
The Holy Mass was animated by the parish choir, and numerous socio-political delegations attended the Eucharist.
Let us remind that the the ones who ordered this crime were never identified, and the classic war crimes were characterized in 1994. and 1995. by military courts as ordinary murder, while the killers were later pardoned by Bosniak politicians.
