A course of marriage preparation in Rama deanery

Seventh course of preparation for the sacrament of marriage was held on April 6th in Rama deanery, under the organisation of Office for marriage and family and Centre for counselling of Vrhbosna archdiocese.

Host of this year’s course for marriage preparation was OFM Jure Perić, parish priest of parish of St. Francis of Asisi in Rumboci. There were 69 fiancés mostly from parishes of Rama area but also from other dioceses.

At the beginning of the course, OFM Perić welcomed the present, and then OFM Mato Topić, Dean of Rama deanery did the same. Lectures that followed were given by the members of the expert team of the Office for marriage and family of Vrhbosna archdiocese: rev. dr. sc. Dubravko Turalija, dr. sc. Sanda D. Smoljo, dr. med Ana Pecirep and dr. sc. OFM Šimo Ivelj. This time, a student of the Catholic theology university in Sarajevo, Sanja Bakula, joined the team. Inclusion of the students in practical pastoral work and activities that are implemented in the Vrhbosna archdiocese is one of the strategic goals of the Office for marriage and family and the Centre for counselling. This way they want to animate the young people of Vrhbosna archdiocese and show them the challenges on the terrain and prepare them for pastoral work.

After lectures, there was a discussion where it was discussed about the challenges that the fiancés come across, and also there was a discussion about future seminars that would be about responsible parenting. At the end of afternoon lectures there was an anonymous questionnaire, based on which future and present educational-formation seminars are being made.
