Parish church in Zenica’s parish of St. Joseph, since Ash Wednesday, has a meter high Easter egg made of plaster and a collage of paper, and believers can put money into it, from what they have given up in Lent.
It was the idea of parish priest rev. Marin Marić, and the pupils and their teacher Kristina worked on the design and decoration of the Easter egg. In addition to the universal messages that are written on it, the stationery has a very specific role, humanitarian.
“Together with the Ursuline sisters who work here, I called on the faithful to put what they had given up in Lent into the Easter egg. We will help about 50 people in need in our parish from these donations”, said parish priest Marić.
