Anniversary of crimes against Croats

On September 14th, Uzdol marked the 28th anniversary of the crimes against Croats committed by members of the Bosniak Army of BiH.

The commemoration began with the laying of wreaths at the Memorial Centre and the consideration of the cross when the names of all those killed were read. Wreaths were then laid by members of the families of those killed and the delegation: the Municipality of Prozor-Rama, the Association of the Third Battalion and Veterans of Uzdol, associations from the last war, political parties and the Armed Forces of BiH.

Then the Holy Mass for the killed was celebrated led by rev. Ljubo Zadrić, a native of the parish of Prozor, who is studying for a postgraduate degree in Rome. Concelebrating with him were a dozen other priests, including the new parish priest of Uzdol, rev. Ivan Ivančević.

During the sermon, rev. Zadrić especially emphasized God’s commandment that one should not kill and spoke about it in the context of the Calvary of Uzdol.

The Holy Mass celebration was animated by the Prozor Parish Choir.

After the Eucharist at the Memorial Centre, prayer was prayed for the murdered people of Uzdol.
