Anniversary of the suffering of Croats in Hudutsko

Laying wreaths, lighting candles and a requiem mass at the memorial to those killed in Hudutsko in the Prozor-Rama municipality marked the 27th anniversary of the death of 22 HVO members of the Hrvoje Vukčić Hrvatinić Jajce Brigade and the killing of two civilians.

The commemoration and the Holy Mass on the occasion of this sad anniversary were attended by families, relatives and friends of the killed, representatives of associations that came out of the last war, political parties and delegations from the municipalities of Jajce and Prozor-Rama.

The Holy Mass at the cemetery in Hudutsko was celebrated by the parish vicar in Gračac, OFM Marko Bandalo, who on that occasion blessed the new cross on the plateau with a memorial plaque to the victims.

Let us remind that members of the Bosniak Army of BiH killed 22 HVO soldiers and two civilians. Of the four captured soldiers, one was killed, three survived and were taken to the Museum camp in Jablanica. In October 1993., one of them managed to escape, and the two were exchanged on March 1st 1994.

Most of those killed were soldiers of the Jajce Brigade Hrvoje Vukčić Hrvatinić, who were stationed in the Rama area after the fall of Jajce under Serbian rule.
