Appointing theologians in the service of the lectorate and acolytes


On Sunday, May 10th, in the seminary church of St. Cyril and Methodius, the Archbishop of Vrhbosna, cardinal Vinko Puljić, appointed three theologians to the service of acolytes, two theologians to the service of lectorates, and three theologians of the Vrhbosna Theological Seminary he admitted for candidates for deaconry and presbyterate for the Vrhbosna Archdiocese.

Before the beginning of the service, rev. Zdenko Spajić, Rector of the Vrhbosna Theological Seminary, greeted the Cardinal, priests, nuns and theologians. Then followed the greeting of the Archbishop of Vrhbosna, who invited everyone to pray for the seminary and spiritual vocations, reports vbs.ba.

After the homily, followed the appointment of theologians to the service of the lectorate and acolyte. For the lectorate, following theologians were admitted: Ilija Jurić and Josip Papak from the parish of the Sacred Heart of Jesus from Prozor; and for the acolytes, following were admitted: Domagoj Matijević and Ivan Matijević from the parish Mary the helper of Christians in Globarica and Ivan Mijač from the parish of St. Joseph from Zenica.

After appointing the candidates to the services of lectorate and acolyte, followed the admittance for candidates for deaconry and presbytery for the Archdiocese of Vrhbosna, and following theologians were admitted: Darko Endrich from the parish of the Exaltation of St. Cross - Retfala (Osijek - Croatia), Stefan Kukrić from the parish of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary - Kreševo and Ivan Popović from the parish of St. Joseph - Zenica.

At the end of the Holy Mass, which was animated by the choir of theologians, words of thanks were given by Rector Spajić and those present were invited to a joint lunch.
