Bishop of Banjaluka, Dr. Franjo Komarica, received on March 28th at the Bishop's Ordinary the new Mufti of Banja Luka, Nusret ef. Abdibegovic and his escort.
It was the first meeting of the Bishop Komarica and the mufti Abdibegović, since the Mufti had taken over that service in Banja Luka. He expressed his gratitude to the Bishop for his consistent commitment to all disadvantaged people in BiH and for the various help he provided with his associates during the war and in the post-war time also, to numerous Muslims.
He stressed that the bishop enjoys great reputation and respect among Muslim believers all over Bosnia and Herzegovina. He expressed his willingness to cooperate on building a positive atmosphere among the citizens of Banja Luka and in the area of Banja Luka mufti and Diocese.
Bishop Komarica thanked Mufti Abdibegović for his arrival and expressed his openness and the desire for constructive co-operation with him and with everyone with a desire for peaceful and secure future for all the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Recalling the good co-operation during the war and after it with helping people in their various troubles and needs, Bishop Komarica expressed the hope that this cooperation will continue to intensify in the future.
The Mufti expressed the wish for the Inter-religious Council in Banja Luka to be more active, as in Sarajevo, which the Bishop warmly welcomed. At the end of the meeting, the Mufti wished God's blessing for the upcoming Easter holidays to the Bishop and his associates.
