Blessed and opened "The House of God’s mercy"

The Red Cross House and Center for Socially Disadvantaged Persons " The House of God’s mercy " was solemnly opened and blessed on August 26th in Bukovica near Tomislavgrad.

In the presence of numerous priests, nuns and their guests, the house was blessed by the local bishop Msgr. Ratko Perić, writes Tomislavcity.

"Some spaces and dates mean a lot to us because they are different from others. This  memorial day is also a reminder of the founding of our Province, where we gathered here on the bushes for the celebration of the blessing of a newly built religious house and a victim assistance center for victims of violence and socially vulnerable people. Although in the Franciscan monastery and parish of Tomislavgrad sisters were present since 1953, this is the first house of our province in this part of the local church", said in a welcoming speech the provincial sister Zdenka Kozina, who recalled the whole course of this house and all those who participated In its construction - from the initial ideas five years ago to the opening, Tomislavcity said.

According to the portal Tomislavcity, Bishop Perić expressed his admiration of the faith and courage of the nuns. In the inspirational sermon, he recalled the laws of the world that protect evil and violate God's laws of love by destroying and killing life.

At the end of the ceremony, the words of thanks were sent by the Provincial sister Zdenka Kozina.

At the end of the mass celebration, the sisters, with the help of the staff of the bridal salon Lovro from Bukovica, served all their guests lunch.
