Blessing and raising of the new bells

On Wednesday, December 18th in the parish of St. Anthony of Padua in Boće, solemn blessing and the raising of two more new bells in the church was organised.

Before the bells were raised, blessed by rev. Filip Maršić, the Eucharist was celebrated with the participation of about 150 parishioners.

Parish Church of St. Anthony had two bells. First one was made and erected in 1923., when the parish was founded; the second was poured in Zagreb in 1937., and was erected the same year; and after 82 years, the company Elektro Bosilj from Novi Marof recorded the tone of this bell, which weighs about 430 kilograms, and according to that sound, new one was commissioned, whose godparents are Anđa Radošević and Niko Dilberović.

The total sum for the parish of this important action is about 29,000 euros and is the gift of the parishioners, which is an indication that they truly love their church and their faith community.

The idea for the new bells was born in 2017. at the gathering of the parish, so that the community would slowly start preparing for the 100th anniversary of the founding of the parish.
