Again this year, the Archbishop of Vrhbosna cardinal Vinko Puljić has invited all Catholics in the judicial, legislative and executive authorities and generally in the socio-political life, to a spiritual renewal held on March 26th.
To the Cardinal's calling, in spite of the snowy, more pre-Christmas than pre-Easter time, responded the Croatian officials from all levels of government, led by the leader of the strongest Croatian party, HDZ BiH Dragan Čović and Defense Minister Marina Pendeš and President of the Federation Marinko Čavara. And some of them used this opportunity to attend the Sacrament of Holy Confession in the Sarajevo Cathedral of the Heart of Jesus, after which the Eucharistic celebration was led and preached by cardinal Puljić.

Speaking of the importance of spiritual renewal, especially for those who carry out significant social functions in current social circumstances, the Archbishop of Vrhbosna invited the present to prepare for the celebration of Easter, the greatest Catholic celebration, in Catholic manner.
After the masses in the cathedral, the Lent spiritual renewal was resumed in the hall of the Preist's Home of the Vrhbosna Archdiocese, and an appropriate lecture was given by the rector of the Catholic University of Zagreb, dr. Željko Tanjić.

“Being a politician at any level is a responsible calling full of challenges that are not easy to deal with. Since I am a native of this diocese, I follow what is happening in Bosnia and Herzegovina and I want to acknowledge you for all you do for the survival of Croats in BiH and the welfare of all other people in this country”, rector Tanjić pointed out.

This extremely interesting - and very educating for the politicians - lectures, under the title How to form an ethical society? by prof. Tanjić was moderated by Msgr. Luka Tunjić.
