The Holy Mass was led by the parish vicar from Guča Gora, OFM Nikica Zlatunić, with the concelebration of the parish priest, OFM Slavko Petrušić, and a dozen priests.

Numerous believers and pilgrims were greeted at the beginning by OFM Slavko, who said that “this feast is an opportunity to open ourselves to the action of the Holy Spirit in order to fill our hearts with joy”.

In his homily, OFM Nikica emphasized that the Feast of Pentecost is an opportunity to “ask ourselves how we can, by changing ourselves, change the world for the better”. He referred to the descent of the Holy Spirit on the apostles saying how it changed their hearts. “What happened to them would be good to happen to us so that we do not lose hope, but that the life force of the Holy Spirit gives us the strength to fight difficulties and challenges”, said, among other things, OFM Nikica.

The liturgical celebration was animated with singing by a united children’s and mixed choir under the direction of Josip Popović.

Socializing with refreshments continued in the parish yard.
