A total of 550 Croats have passed through the Stadium camp, that is, Iskra Football Club, according to the Bugojno Association of Croatian Prisoners.
Laying wreaths in front of the memorial at the City Catholic Cemetery in Sultanovići and the memorial service in the parish church of St. Anthony in Bugojno led by OFM Hrvoje Radić, parish priest of Bugojno, on March 19th, in accordance with the recommendations due to the coronavirus pandemic , Croats of Bugojno modestly commemorated the 26th anniversary of the exchange of 294 prisoners from the Stadium camp, one of the infamous camps of the Bosniak Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the last war.
A total of 550 Croats have passed through the Stadium camp, that is, Iskra Football Club, according to the Bugojno Association of Croatian Prisoners. The 294 who were exchanged in 1994. spent eight months in this camp, where they survived the cold, starvation and numerous other tortures, including forced blood collection and first line of defense where they served as human shields.
Unfortunately, the fate of 19 forcibly detained inmates is still unknown.
