Parish of St. Mother Teresa in Vogošća, near Sarajevo, celebrated its patron saint on September 5th.
The Holy Mass was led by the parish priest of the religious community of St. Joseph in Zenica, rev. Davor Topić, with the concelebration of the parish vicar and vice-rector of the Archdiocesan Mission International Seminary Redemptoris Mater in Vogošća, rev. Paulo Henrique dos Santos Coelho, and the parish vicar from the Sarajevo parish of St. Luke rev. Ante Ljulj.
In an appropriate sermon, rev. Davor, adding the gospel to the celebration of the holiday, said that the depiction of sleeping virgins “is a picture of human weakness in our nights and indicates that only those who have the fruit of faith and works of love in their lives can enter the wedding feast”. Following this, he underlined that “in this spirit, St. Mother Teresa is a strong guide to heaven”. "In her life, as she herself says, even when she didn't understand anything, we notice her faithfulness to the Lord”, said, among other things, rev. Davor, indicating that this faithfulness should be a model for everyone.
Before the final blessing, those present prayed to St. Mother Teresa and after the Holy Mass had the opportunity to honour her relics.
The celebration of the patron continued with socializing and singing in the yard around the family table.
