At the beginning of the Eucharist celebration, parish priest of Gromiljak, rev. Ilija Karlović reminded that the Name of Mary, as a protector of this parish, celebrates 125 years, and that the original patron was Assumption of Mary.

In his sermon, rev. Butum spoke about the holiness of Mary’s name. “Josip Broz had a pretty name, so did Staljin, and Ivan Grozni, yet they were no saints. On the contrary, only the pure hearted like Mary can stand before God and make the name we carry holy”, said rev. Butum and looked back on the trend of immigration of the young people, calling on the social community to start working for the common good.

The celebration after the Holy Mass continued in the church courtyard with the traditional celebration.
