At the beginning, the gathered were greeted by the Provincial of the Croatian Dominican Province, father Slavko Slišković, thanking the previous parish priest for his service, father Pero Jurič, who had to stop his pastoral service due to illness, and then presented the new parish priest, father Mirko Jaglić.

In the appropriate sermon, father Mario Ilija spoke about the significance of the cross, the acceptance of Jesus' miracles and the correct faith. “Jesus notices that many who believed in him, believed only because of the miracles he performed. Faith that is based only on our pleasure, if we believe only when we feel good, then such faith is not good”, he said and spoke about God's logic, which is incomprehensible to man. “Our God does not take people as servants, but he becomes the one who serves. God is love, and the best indicator of that is Jesus' sacrifice on the cross”, concluded father Mario Ilija.

In the end, the newly appointed parish priest, father Mirko greeted the gathered and expressed his trust in God in taking over the service entrusted to him.
