On the third Sunday of the year in the parish of Bl. Alojzije Stepinac in Orašje, Sunday of the Word of God was celebrated with a Holy Mass.
The Eucharist dedicated to reflecting on the Word of God began with a procession when ministrants first entered the church carrying a cross and candles, followed by 73 children of all ages of elementary school who were carrying 73 Bible titles. On the right visible part of the presbytery on the right a Bible was displayed, and in front of the altar was an arrangement composed of 73 roses in two different colors.
As an introduction to the Holy Mass, led by parish priest OFM Bono Kovačević, Nina Ivanović thanked for God's word, emphasizing the meaning of the Bible.
After the blessing with the Holy Altar Sacrament, at the end of the Holy Mass, on the Day of Prayer for Peace in BiH, Leon Živković prayed an appropriate Prayer for Peace.
The program of marking the Word of God Sunday ended with a joint photo of the participants.
Note: The prayer program for the celebration of the Word of God Sunday, the religious community in Orašje, began the day before, on the feast of the Conversion of St. Paul, by reading the letter of Pope Francis Aperuit illis, Holy Mass celebration, Eucharistic adoration and prayer at the end of the Praying Octave for the Unity of Christians.
