Celebration of the patron saint of the parish in Tišina

The community of believers in Tišina near Bosanski Šamac celebrated its patron saint on October 9th - the Motherhood of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The Eucharist was celebrated on that occasion by the parish vicar in Tolisa, OFM Luka Marković, and concelebrated by 14 priests of the Šamac Deanery and the monastery area of Tolisa, among whom was the parish priest OFM Blaž Marković.

In his homily, OFM Luka spoke about Mary as a mother and wife, emphasizing that Mary is the physical mother of Jesus, but she is also a spiritual mother, that is, the mother of all Christians. He encouraged those present that, just as Mary is a role model for mothers, let Jesus be a role model for all Christians in how they should treat other people, especially children and parents.

The Holy Mass was animated by the parish choir from Domaljevac.

The faithful prepared for the celebration of the patron saint with a Triduum, which was led by the parish vicar and military chaplain from Domaljevac, OFM Marinko Živković.
