The only parish in the Vrhbosna archdiocese that celebrates Bl. Alojzije Stepinac as patron, on February 10th, celebrated its patron. The solemn Eucharistic celebration, in the concelebration of about 30 priests, was led by OFM Ivan Sesar, the manager of the Badija monastery in Croatia, a member of the Franciscan Province of Herzegovina.
OFM Bono Kovačević greeted those present.
In an appropriate homily, OFM Ivan spoke about the life and actions of Alojzije Stepinac, who was accepted by the people for his exemplary life and bravery of enduring injustice. With numerous words of encouragement and consolation, he emphasized how "Bl. Stepinac teaches us that the answer to hatred and evil is forgiveness and love". "A clear conscience is the greatest flag, and a clean heart is the dearest coat of arms that can be used as the 'card' of Catholics in any time, even in ours, which many call the time of reversed values", OFM Ivan said, among other things.

Let us remind you that this parish, which was founded in 2006, celebrated its patron in the year of notable jubilees - the 125th anniversary of his birth and the 25th anniversary of his beatification.
