Children's Prayer Initiative

Children of Parish of Blessed Aloysius Stepinac from Orašje, on October 18th joined the children of 80 countries for the first time in a prayer action - One million children pray together for unity and peace. The action is being organized for the 14th year in a row by the foundation of International Catholic Work of the Papal Law - Church in Need (Kirche in Not).

The prayer action, like every year, was dedicated to praying for peace, but this time with a special intention for priests who were killed, abducted, or suffered violence and persecution.

The children of Orašje, about 40 pupils from the first to the ninth grade of elementary school, together with the priest OFM Bono Kovačević, prayed for peace together.

Then the confirmation candidates recited commemorative prayers with a special focus on all children suffering from wars, robberies, killings and terrorism.

The program ended with a common prayer, with the children lining up around the statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and then one of the pupils read the Children's Prayer to the Mother of God on behalf of those present.

The Children's Rosary Prayer was created in 2005. in today's wounded Caracas, Venezuela, where a group of children prayed before the Testament Chapel and then spread to almost the entire world.
