Christmas spiritual renewal for the staff of the MOD and the AF of BiH


The spiritual renewal of the Catholic workers of Ministry of Defense and members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina operating in Sarajevo, Pale, Rajlovac, Pazarić, Butile and Butmir was held on December 18th at the Church of St. Cyril and Methodius in Sarajevo.

About 150 people gathered, including former Defence Minister Marina Pendeš and Generals Ivica Jerkić and Tomo Kolenda, as well as members of the security services.

After the obedient worship, led by the Chancellor of the Military Ordinary, rev. Josip Tadić, eight priests and Bishop Tomo Vukšić were available for confession. During the Holy Mass, Bishop Vukšić read his yearly circular on the occasion of the Christmas holidays and at the end of the Mass he blessed the new flag of the Military Ordinary, which will be available to the faithful of the Military chaplaincy of St. John Capistran in Sarajevo.

The following day, on December 19th, a similar spiritual renewal and Christmas preparation took place in Livno, with the possibility for the sacrament of confession, for the faithful of the Military Chaplaincy of St. Michael the Archangel with headquarters in Čapljina and St. Nikola Tavelić, based in Livno, led by military chaplains OFM Mario Ostojić and rev. Ivan Turudić.
