Continuous Bible reading was held

In the Year of the Word of God, the religious and monastic community in Visoko joined the Lent action of uninterrupted reading of the Bible, which was organized throughout the Church among Croats.

In the monastery church of St. Bonaventura reading was organized on Wednesday, March 10th.

Friars from the monastery, Franciscan sisters, postulants and seminarians, members of the Parish Pastoral Council and the Franciscan Secular Order, Frama members and religious students read biblical texts continuously from 10 am to 10 pm.

Their “task” was taken over from the parish of the Queen of Peace in Marinci (Pregrada), where the reading took place the day before, and in Visoko they began reading from the Gospel of Luke, and on that day the texts were read until the end of the Second Epistle to Timothy. Further reading of the Bible was handed over to the community of believers in the sanctuary and parish of Our Lady of Bistrica in Marija Bistrica.

By the way, the day ended with the compline prayer led by the guardian and head of the parish branch, OFM Franjo Radman. He also thanked the participants of this praiseworthy spiritual action, emphasizing that it is a special gift of grace for the faithful and the monastery community.
