The national team of priests of Bosnia and Herzegovina won the bronze medal at the 16th European Championship in indoor football, which was played from February 5th to 8th in Shkodra, Albania. Priests from Croatia adorned themselves with gold, while Poles won silver.
On the last competition day, Thursday, February 8th, the final was played. After the matches for placing from 16th to 5th place, there were two semi-finals in which following teams met: Croatia and Romania and Bosnia and Herzegovina and Poland. Croatia beat Romania 2:0, and BiH lost to Poland 5:1.
In the match for the third place, the priests of Bosnia and Herzegovina beat Romania with a score of 7:1 and thus won the bronze medal in the second championship in a row. In the final, Croatia was better than Poland with a score of 3:2, and thus won the gold.
The best scorer of the tournament was rev. Josip Papak.

Dražen Kustura (priest - Novo Sarajevo; spokesman of the Vrhbosna Archdiocese), OFM Ivica Tomas (parish priest - Banbrdo), OFM Nikica Tomas (HKM Krefeld), rev. Vladimir Pranjić (economist of the Archdiocese of Vrhbosna), OFM Mario Jelić (parish priest - Ljubunčić), OFM Bojan Martinović (parish vicar - Livno), OFM Ivan Tučić (parish priest - Bihać), rev. Stjepan Didak (parish priest - Gradačac and Turić), OFM Ivan Stanić (parish vicar - Tolisa), OFM Jure Šekerija (parish vicar - Bugojno), rev. Josip Papak (economist of Vrhbosna Theological Seminary), rev. Ljubo Zadrić (professor at KBF Sarajevo) and OFM Josip Tomas (parish priest and guardian - Kreševo).
Finally, it is worth mentioning that the next European Championship for priests in indoor football will be played in February 2025, and Hungary will be the host.
