Day of Franciscan Theology


Franciscan theology in Sarajevo at the memorial day of Bl. John Duns Scouts, on November 8th, celebrated its day.

The program began with the Eucharist in the oratory of St. Paul, which was led and preached by the General Visitor of Bosna Srebrena, OFM Božo Vuleta. Concelebrating with him were, among others, the Provincial of the Franciscan Province of Bosna Srebrena, OFM Jozo Marinčić, and the Dean of Theology, Dr. OFM Danimir Pezer.

After the Holy Mass, a ceremonial academy was organized in the oratory, where welcoming speeches and congratulations, along with Dean Pezer, were sent by representatives of KBFs in: Sarajevo, Split and Đakovo. A short speech on the topic of Lukewarm Christianity. Interpretation and actuality. Letters to the Church in Laodicea (Rev. 3: 14-22), were sent by Dr. OFM Stipo Kljajić.

This was followed by the promotion of 12 new masters of theology and the awarding of prizes to the most successful students through the past academic year.

Actress Gordana Boban took the audience through the world of poetry, and the choirs Magnificat and Fra Nenad Dujić under the direction of OFM Emanuel Josić performed in the musical part.

Let us add that Franciscan Theology is the highest educational institution of the Franciscan Province of Bosna Srebrena, and since 1968 it has been located in the Sarajevo settlement of Nedžarići.
