On Sunday, October 27th, Olovo hosted OFM Lujo Day - the 50th anniversary of the death of OFM Lujo Zloušić, a professor from Visoko and restorer of Our Lady's Shrine in Olovo.
At the beginning of the program, OFM Ivan Nujić gave a lecture on the life of OFM Lujo in the church in Olovo. The prayer of the rosary was led by Franciscan theologians from Sarajevo, and other Friars and pilgrims took turns wearing a miraculous image of Our Lady of Olovo as they walked around the church.
Then followed the Mass, presided over by the Provincial of Bosna Srebrena, OFM Jozo Marinčić, and the sermon was delivered by OFM Mile Babić, Guardian of the Monastery of St. Paul in Nedzarići (Sarajevo). Since late OFM Lujo was his professor at the Seminary and High School in Visoko (1961-1965), OFM Mile preached in his personal memory and emphasized his virtues which he had observed as a seminarian.
Holy Mass singing was led by the theologians under the direction of Maestro OFM Emanuel Josić. After the Holy Mass, the choir Stella maris from Hvar gave a nice concert in the church.
OFM Lujo was one of the pillars of the Franciscan Province of Bosna Srebrena. The memory of him was preserved by pilgrims praying at his tomb in the Olovo church.
