First new priest's first Mass in the history of parish Marijin Dvor


On Saturday, July 13th, in parish church of St. Joseph in Marijin dvor in Sarajevo, rev. Adnan Petar Mihael Jašarević celebrated his new priest’s first Mass, which is also first in the history of this parish that was founded in 1936.

With a solemn procession with about 20 priests started this Eucharist celebration that was led by rev. Adnan Petar Mihael in a full church.

Appropriate sermon during the holy Mass was said by rev. Vlado Vrebac, son of this parish, parish priest in Bijelo Brdo near Derventa, who told his new colleague, encouraging him, to say to God every morning and evening: “Here I am”. The Mass celebration was animated by parish choir together with Cathedral mixed choir Josip Stadler.

In the end, the new priest addressed the gathered, he thanked everyone present, and invited them to gathering at the family table in Priest’s Home of Vrhbosna Archdiocese.

Let us remind that the parish community, for this first new priest’s Mass, prepared with Triduum, showing this way their spiritual preparation and showing God their gratitude for the new priest.
