First Stadler Day in 2020.

On Wednesday, January 8th, a commemoration for the Servant of God, Dr. Josip Stadler, the first Archbishop of Vrhbosna, was held in the Sarajevo cathedral.

The Eucharistic celebration was led by rev. Marko Stanušić, professor of music at KBF in Sarajevo, with a concelebration of the cathedral parish priest venerable Mate Majić and Vice-Rector of VBS rev. Oliver Jurišić.

In an appropriate sermon, rev. Marko referred to the fact that during crucial times in the history of the Church, God called to His ministry strong, capable and fully committed persons to God. “One such person and much more was the servant of God Archbishop Stadler: the great builder, the father of the poor”, said rev. Stanušić emphasizing another of Stadler's qualities: his holy life, which is actually the reason for gathering on every eighth of the month.

At the end of the prayer, believers gathered around the tomb of Stadler, led by rev. Stanušić, they prayed for the declaration of the first Archbishop of Vrhbosna as blessed.
