On September 29th, a Study Day for nuns operating in BiH was organized at the premises of the Priest’s Home of the Archdiocese of Vrhbosna and Vrhbosna theological seminary in Sarajevo, by the Theological council, Council for small seminaries of BK BiH and Centre for counselling of Vrhbosna archdiocese.
The central theme was The Walk to Inner Maturity with particular emphasis on affective maturation in religious life.
52 nuns from different communities responded to the meeting. Among others, participated: School Sisters of the Franciscan Province of the Holy Family from Mostar, Sarajevo, Široki Brijeg, Kočerin and Konjic, Servants of the Little Jesus, School Sisters of the Franciscan Province of BiH and Croatia province from Bugojno and Sarajevo, Daughters of God’s Love from Sarajevo and Tuzla, Sisters of Mercy of St. Vincent de Paul and sisters Adorers of the Blood of Christ.
The program moderator was Dr. Sc. Sanda D. Smoljo, and the lecturer was Ph.D. Stefano Guarinelli, priest of the Archdiocese of Milan and Professor at the Theological College of Northern Italy in Milan. Dr. Stefano, from theological-spiritual and psychological-therapeutic perspective, analysed and interpreted, through three thematic units, what means affective maturation, how it unfolds, what are the stages, challenges and difficulties.
The meeting ended with a Eucharistic celebration at Theological Church of St. Cyril and Methodius led by Msgr. Slađan Ćosić, general vicar.
