The Mass celebration and the rite of dressing of the habits was led by the provincial OFM Miljenko Šteko, and concelebrants were the master of the postulants OFM Iko Skoko, master of Novices OFM Stanko Mabić, the educator from Visoko OFM Josip Ikić, parish priest OFM Mladen Vukšić, together with 40 more priests.
OFM Ivan Penavić ruled the liturgical rites. The Mass celebration was glorified with our harmonious singing was inspired by our theologians. After Holy Mass, socializing continued in the space of the new church.
"God has to call us - How does the Lord call? Today he invokes spiritual vocations in an inner way. The most regular the invitee feels in the heart a mild voice of calling. This call can sometimes be quite explicit, as it was with St. Francis when the Lord called him from a crucifix. Sometimes it can be barely noticeable, it can be repeated for a long time, it can keep one in dispense and uncertainty for a while, but at the end it is clearly scattered so it can follow. By this, the Lord knows and waits for longer until the called person matures or until the other necessary conditions are met. It also uses barriers if it is useful to the person being called. So, for example, for St. Faustina Kowalska it allowed two or three monasteries to refuse her application. That was not for Faustina a loss of motivation, but an increase of her faith and her desire to become a nun", the Provincial underlined in his speach.
He reminded that the Lord knows how to speak in the inner way as well and through his witnesses and life events, saying that some young people got inspired by the sacred image of a priest, monk, or nun to begin to think about it, the way it happened to St. Anthony of Padua, whom the first Franciscan martyrs encouraged to come to the Franciscan Order.
"Dear candidates, bring your youthful religious enthusiasm into our community, our Church, our people! Try to be a blessing to all - try to be the light of the world and the salt of the earth! Let people see your good deeds and glorify the Father of Heaven!", said OFM Miljenko Šteko.
