Laying the first temporary vows

At the feast day of the Stigmata of St. Francis, on September 17th in the Provincial House of the Franciscan School Sisters in Bjelave in Sarajevo, during the Eucharist which was led by OFM Nikica Vujica, the first temporary vows were laid by the novice Nikolina Vujica, taking the religious name: sister Janja.
In the presence of the sisters, parents and relatives, the vows were taken by sister Kata Karadža, Provincial Head of the Franciscan School Sisters of Christ the King of the Bosnian-Croatian Province of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
In his homily, OFM Nikica called on sister Janja, as well as all the nuns, to “live their vocation seriously and joyfully every day, relying on the word of God”.
At the end of the Holy Mass, the Provincial Superior, sister Kata, congratulated sister Janja on the courage of the call.
The communion continued at lunch in the convent hall during which the newly ordained sister expressed her gratitude.
