Lent spiritual renewal for the young

Members of the Charismatic Community Nanovo Rođeni (Newly Born) met on March 7th and 8th at a Franciscan monastery of the Holy Trinity in Petrićevac, Banja Luka, with a group of young people from Banja Luka.

The meeting was hosted by Bishop of Banja Luka Msgr. Franjo Komarica and OFM Domagoj Šimić, guardian and pastor at Petrićevac.

The meeting was in the form of personal testimonies from young people, including the testimony of the national KKODS Youth Coordinator in Croatia Matija Ricov, the current leader of the community Nanovo Rođeni, Mišo Lukenda, who is originally from Banja Luka, and two other young members of the community.

Second day of the meeting began with a solemn Eucharistic celebration at the Cathedral of St. Bonaventura led by Bishop Komarica. Then a prayer was held over the sarcophagus of Bl. Ivan Merz and a presentation on the Catholic Church in BiH and its suffering.

The young people then headed to the Trappist monastery, Marija Zvijezda, and then followed a tour of the city.

The Nanovo Rođeni is a prayer community that is a member of KKODS and operates in Botinac, Zagreb.
