Martyrdom is victory over all hatred

In Banjski Brijeg in Sarajevo, in the church of Queen of St. Rosary, on December 15th, memorial of Bl. Drina martyrs was celebrated.

The Eucharist in the monastery church of the Sisters of the Daughters of God’s Love was led by the director of KŠC Sv. Josip, rev. Mario Ćosić in concelebration with five priests, among whom was the parish priest in Goražde, rev. Josip Tadić. The Holy Mass was attended by nuns the Daughters of God’s Love, theologians and several faithful worshipers of Bl. martyrs of Drina, gathered in the church which is also the sanctuary of these blessed women.

At the beginning, those present were greeted by rev. Ćosić and asked “what for does it pay to give the only life a man has” and immediately offered the answer that it is Christ.

In his homily, he said that at no point in one's life is one sure that it pays to live a Christian life like the moment when one is at funerals or graves that witness a death that no one will escape. “He who lives for high ideals must forget to think of himself”, he said, further emphasizing that martyrdom is love and victory over all hatreds, and Bl. Martyrs of Drina are an excellent example.

At the end of the Holy Mass, in front of the picture of the Martyrs from the Drina, a prayer was said for their canonization.
