Meeting of Archbishop Vukšić and Patriarch Porfirije

The Archbishop Coadjutor of Vrhbosna and Apostolic Administrator of the Military Ordinariate in BiH, Msgr. Tomo Vukšić met in Sarajevo on Saturday (October 16th) with Serbian Orthodox Church Patriarch Porfirije.

The meeting took place in the afternoon in the centre of the Dabro-Bosnia Metropolitanate in the BiH capital.

The Serbian patriarch used his visit to Sarajevo to meet with representatives of churches and religious communities present in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Representatives of the Islamic and Jewish communities in BiH, along with Metropolitan Hrizostom, who was the host, also took part in the courtesy conversation, in private form.

As a reminder, Patriarch Porfirije paid a two-day visit to Sarajevo and East Sarajevo to mark the 50th anniversary of monasticism and the 30th anniversary of the episcopal ministry of Metropolitan of Dabro-Bosnia, Hrizostom.

On that occasion, the patriarch, among other things, served the liturgy in the Cathedral and visited the centre of Sarajevo as well as the Old Orthodox Church in Baščaršija.
