Meeting of BK BiH members with KBF professors and VBS educators

Bishops of the Bishops’ Conference of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the feast of St. Cyril and Methodius, on July 5th, in the premises of the Vrhbosa Theological Seminary in Sarajevo, held a second meeting with KBF professors and educators of the theological community.

The meeting was presided over by the Metropolitan Archbishop of Vrhbosna, Msgr. Tomo Vukšić, the great chancellor of the Catholic Faculty of Theology (KBF) of the University of Sarajevo, and the bishop of Mostar-Duvno and the apostolic administrator of Trebinje-Mrkan, Msgr. Petar Palić and the auxiliary bishop of Banja Luka, Msgr. Marko Semren and 13 KBF professors, including both heads of the Vrhbosna Theological Seminary (VBS): rector Dr. Zdenko Spajić and spiritual guide Dr. Milenko Krešić.

Dean of KBF, rev. Darko Tomašević presented the current situation in this institution and pointed to the decreasing number of students and mentioned certain steps they are taking in terms of promotion.

Rector Spajić presented life in the VBS and the course of renovation of the theological building.

During the discussion, there was talk about the propaedeutic year, which will be launched in the fall of 2022 at the level of all dioceses of the Church in Croatia as a preparation for young men who want to become priests. There was also talk about the connection between the Sarajevo KBF and the Theological and Catechetical Institute in Mostar.

It is worth mentioning that this KBF is among the youngest faculties of the Church in Croatia in terms of the age of its professors.
