Organized Bible evening

On the second day of Lent, March 3rd, in the evening, the faithful of the parish of St. John in Odžak had the opportunity to participate in the Bible evening led by the Dean and Professor at the KBF in Sarajevo, Dr. rev. Darko Tomašević.

About 50 believers were present, as well as several priests working in the Dobor Deanery. At the beginning, the gathered were greeted by the parish priest rev. Ilija Orkić.

Dr. Tomašević spoke about lesser-known words, concepts and persons in the Holy Scriptures, including the Apostle Andrew, the prophet Jeremiah, Arpachshad (Noah's grandson) and the term “prljuša”. Also unusual was the question of whether the Ten Commandments exist in Scripture at all or something else - as recorded in the Old Testament books. There was also talk of cafes in the Bible - is there any recorded in the Bible.

In a relaxed atmosphere, it was interesting to hear about the unknown details found in the Bible, especially since believers are often in touch with it, and something new can always be discovered.

After the lecture there was an opportunity to ask a question or give a review of the presentation.

The next Bible evening is scheduled for the end of March.
