In the atmosphere of prayerful preparation for the celebration of the Jubilee in 2025, in the year of Stadler's Caritas and the 125^th anniversary of the charismatic activity of the Sisters Servants of the Little Jesus in Sarajevo's Bethlehem and Egypt monasteries, this meeting was held under the motto Po Mariji k Isusu (With Mary to Jesus)!

Holy Mass was celebrated as the central event of that day, led by the prefect of the Archbishop's Seminary Petar Barbarić in Travnik, and the teacher at the boarding school, Rev. Anto Vrhovac, in concelebration with the parish priest, Rev. Ivan Dragičević, dean of the Dobor deanery, rev. Ilija Orkić and about 10 priests.

The Holy Mass celebration was attended by: the superior of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Servants of the Little Jesus, sister Anđa Vranješ, member of the Supreme Administration, sister Marta Vunak, and the provincial superior of the Sarajevo Province, sister Ana Marija Kesten, together with sisters from the Provincial Administration and sisters from other communities of the Sarajevo Province of the Servants of the Little Jesus and with about 250 members of the Friends of Little Jesus and numerous believers from Čardak parish and surrounding parishes.

Following Mary's example...

In the appropriate sermon, rev. Vrhovac reminded that suffering and the cross in a believer's life are very meaningful and do not diminish the joy of the Christian life, which can be seen in the example of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

"And for each of us, that angel's call at the beginning was full of enthusiasm, full of joy. And then there are moments when we ask ourselves: 'Lord, how does this suffering I have, this problem, this crisis, fit into your plan of joy, fullness of life. You promised me the fullness of pleasure, and I feel the opposite. How can I connect this with the joy I want to live?'", asked the preacher and emphasized how this leads to the message of the holiday and the reason why to celebrate Our Lady of Sorrows.

He then called on the faithful to cooperate with God in everything, "not only in what suits us, what is beautiful to us, what fulfils us, but in everything, even for evil, dare I say even for our sins".

"If we come out of them aware of the evil we have done, if we repent for them, God can bring everything to good for those who love him, and this means that I should not throw away any moment of my life", said rev. Ante and also encouraged those present to let Mary "so that she who stood under the cross may help us today with her gaze to accept what is difficult for us to accept at this moment, what we cannot understand in our life, what we would like to cross and that we can like her experience hope, to experience the dawn of resurrection".

Silver jubilee

After the post-communion prayer, the renewal of the promise of the Friends of Little Jesus followed.

The liturgical celebration was animated by a choir of young people led by the parish priest, rev. Mladen Štivin from the religious community of the Martyrdom of St. John the Baptist in Zapolje near Gradiška.

After the Holy Mass celebration and refreshments, the appropriate program continued, which began with the management of thoughts and hearts towards the Child Jesus, praying also for the beatification of the servant of God, Josip Stadler. The devotion to the Child Jesus was animated by members of PMI from Prozor together with sister Anđelina Perić.

After the prayer part, the pastor introduced the present to the parish of Čardak, and sister Ljilja Marinčić spoke about the history of the monastery and the activities of the SMI sisters in Čardak.

This was followed by an address by the provincial superior, sister Ana Marija, and a tour of the monastery accompanied by sister Blaženka Lešić, head of the household in Čardak.

At the end of the meeting, the provincial gave words of thanks, after which those present prayed for the souls of those who rest in the sister cemetery, for the martyred and exiled people from Bosanska Posavina whose remains are found all over the world, for the deceased members of the PMI and those who are no longer present and have no one to mention them, with which ended this jubilee meeting of the PMI society.

By the way, the celebration of the PMI's patron saint and jubilee began with the blessing of the pilgrims and devotion to Our Lady of Sorrows, which was animated by the PMI from Vitez together with sister Danica Bilić.
