In a commemorative homily, OFM Marinko spoke about the life of the founder of the Franciscan Order. Parish and monastery of St. Francis in Guča Gora celebrated their heavenly protector this year with the presence of thousands of pilgrims from all over BiH.

St. Francis of Assisi has been celebrated as its patron since the founding of this parish and monastery. Ever since its founding, and especially with the erection of the monastery in 1859., it seems to have been quite understandable that they should be under the protection of St. Francis. Namely, the monastery housed all the Franciscan scientific institutes (gymnasium, novitiate, seminary) for years, which brought up young people who wanted to follow the example of the founder of the Franciscan Order.
