Heavenly patron of the chapel in the barracks Josip Karimović Grabo in Žepče, Bl. Alojzije Stepinac, was solemnly celebrated on February 10th with the Eucharist led by the Archbishop of Vrhbosna and Apostolic Administrator of the Military Ordinariate in BiH, Msgr. Tomo Vukšić.
The concelebration was attended by the Vicar General of the VO, Msgr. Željko Ćuturić, parish priest in Žepče and dean of the Žepče deanery, rev. Predrag Stojčević and military chaplains, rev. Ljubo Zelenika and rev. Goran Kosić.
In his sermon, Archbishop Vukšić invited “to follow the example of Bl. Stepinac as a believer and martyr”. “Only our dying for others makes sense because that is how we give birth to virtues and thus enrich the environment in which we live. Example of life Bl. Alojzije was a light for many in the time of darkness brought by the regime in which he lived. Only a man who gives birth to virtues and faith in himself can be a light and an example in the most difficult times. So while we are influencing the intercession of Bl. Alojzije, we pray that we also give birth to virtues and so in these times in which we live we will be the seed that will give birth for the good of our people and society”, said, among other things, Msgr. Vukšić.
After the Holy Mass in the barracks, a gathering was organized for those present.
