On the feast of the Holy Trinity, June 7th, the parish of the same name in Novi Travnik celebrated its patron saint. The Holy Mass was led by Msgr. Pavo Jurišić, postulator of the cause of the servant of God Josip Stadler, canon and archdeacon of Guča Gora. The concelebrator was, among others, the parish priest rev. Anto Ledić.
In his sermon, Msgr. Jurišić spoke of a story in which a king wondered what God was like, to which he could not find an answer, so he called the wise men and asked them the same question, and gave them three days to answer. However, an ordinary shepherd heard about it, so he also responded by offering his answer in which he asked the king to look at the sun in the sky.
“If you are already blinded by the Sun that God created, then how could God, the Creator of everything, not dazzle you with his radiance”, quoted Msgr. Jurišić the shepherd and, among other things, reminded of the words of St. Augustine: “When you think you have learned something about God, then it is certainly not God”.
The Holy Mass was followed by an evening prayer with the people and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament of the Altar.
The believers of this city parish of Novi Travnik, which is also called the “lower” parish, spiritually prepared for the celebration of the feast with a Triduum.
