The Eucharistic celebration was led by the parish priest of Derventa, rev. Marko Slišković in concelebration with eight priests, among whom were the host parish priest, rev. Stjepan Didak and the Dean of the Sutjeska Deanery Dr. venerable Pero Brkić.

At the beginning of the Holy Mass, which was animated by singing and playing of tamburitza players from Vareš, parish priest Didak greeted gathered, about 50 believers, congratulating the patron to his parishioners.

In the appropriate sermon, Rev. Slišković first stated that it is “human nature to strive for glory”, and added that “the ticket to heaven is precisely the cross”.

At the end of the Holy Mass, the parish priest thanked those present and invited those gathered to socialize.

It is worth mentioning that the faithful of the parish, which is located between Olovo and Zavidovići, prepared for the celebration of the patron saint with Triduum.
