Pilgrimage of Zenica parishes to the Blessed martyrs of Drina


Pilgrimage to the Bl. Drina martyrs in Goražde, organized by the parishes from Zenica, was held on October 24th.

Led by priests OFM Mato Bošnjak, rev. Anto Dominković and rev. Davor Topić, as well as the Ursuline sister Elvira, three buses of pilgrims from all five Zenica parishes headed to the place where Bl. Martyrs of the Drina were killed, and in Sarajevo they were joined by the parish priest in Goražde, rev. Josip Tadić, and Sisters the Daughters of Love, sister Ljilja, sister Angela, and sister Zvonimira.

During the journey to eastern Bosnia, rev. Josip and the Sisters of the Daughters of God's Love introduced the pilgrims to stories from the history of the martyrdom of Bl. Drina martyrs.

Upon arrival at their destination, the pilgrims took part in the Holy Mss held in the chapel of St. Dominic that was led by OFM Mato, and then they headed towards the place of martyrdom of the blessed women, which is located in front of the school along the Drina river. At the end, they visited the unfinished church, whose construction began in August 2021, and which will be dedicated to these martyrs.

On the way back, the fellowship continued with prayer and song.
