Approximately 700 believers filled the church of St. Joseph in Zenica on March 19th to celebrate the patron of the parish. The central concelebrated celebration was led by venerable Mladen Kalfić, the chancellor of the Vrhbosna Archdiocese.
Eight priests concelebrated with him, and at the beginning of the Mass the present were greeted by parish priest rev. Vladimir Pranjić, who invited the congregation to follow the patron saint of the Croatian people in their daily lives.

In his sermon, Chancellor Kalfić first spoke of gratitude that brings peace, well-being and humility. He pointed out that everyone can personally follow St. Joseph through righteousness, devotion and obedience, and how they can do it always and in every place: at work, in authority and in families.
Before the blessing in the end, the parish priest thanked everyone who helped in any way in the organization and celebration of the patron, and then they all together prayed litanies to St. Joseph and the votive prayer.

After the Holy Mass, the gathering continued in the churchyard with the sounds of folk music, folk dancing and present had the opportunity to indulge in food and drinks.
The believers of this Zenica parish have traditionally been preparing for the celebration of their heavenly patron with Novenas through nine Wednesdays. The sermons this year were thought up of bliss, and every Wednesday another preacher came.

Except the large number of believers in the Mass, it is certainly rejoicing that a good number of them used the occasion and before the Eucharistic celebration approached the sacrament of reconciliation.
