For the head bishop of Selja and the Auxiliary Bishop of the Vrhbosna Archdiocese Dr. Pero Sudar was named on May 10th, 1993., and was ordained in the Sarajevo Cathedral on January 6th 1994.
Bishop Sudar was born on July 3rd 1951. in Bare, Konjic municipality, the parish of Solakova Kula in Vrhbosna Archdiocese. He attended elementary school in Bare and Seonica, and grammar school with the Jesuits in Zagreb and Dubrovnik.
He finished philosophical-theological studies in Sarajevo, where he was ordained for the priest of Vrhbosna Archdiocese on June 29th 1977. After one year of pastoral experience in the parish of Komušina, he was sent to study the canon law in Rome. During six years at the Pontifical Universities, Gregoriana and Urbaniana, he graduated in Canon Law on the topic of The term of physical Person in the Legislation of the Church and completed the studies of atheism and the Roman Rota.
After returning to Sarajevo in the fall of 1985., he was entrusted with the service of a court vicar and a member of the Ordinariate. In the summer semester of 1986. he began teaching at the Vrhbosna Catholic Theology, and in the autumn of 1989. he was elected Dean and Rector of the Vrhbosna Catholic Theology. In that period, he periodically publishes works in the field of legal subjects and pedagogy in periodicals and books at home and abroad.

At the Bishop's Conference of BiH, he served as the General Secretary, the President of the Justitia et Pax Commission and the Commission for Relations with the state of BiH, and was also the president of the Catechetic Council, the Supervisory Council of Caritas BiH and the Council for congregation abroad.
As a project promoter of the School for Europe, he cares for the reconstruction and construction of necessary facilities and organizes the opening and functioning of Catholic school centers in the area of the Archdiocese.
