On Sunday, October 22nd, in the monastery church of St. John the Baptist in Kraljeva Sutjeska, Queen Catherine's Day was marked with a solemn Holy Mass celebration. At the same time, on that day there was also the XV. national pilgrimage of OFS to Kraljevo Sutjeska.
Before the Holy Mass, an appropriate program was arranged at the beginning of which the regional and national spiritual assistant of the Franciscan Secular Order of Queen Katarina, OFM Miro Relota and national minister Ivana Vidović, who expressed their joy for the fact that OFS gathers for 15 years already at the national pilgrimage in Kraljeva Sutjeska on the occasion of the death of Queen Katarina, and they highlighted the second occasion of the gathering - the 800th anniversary of Christmas, which was celebrated by St. Francis and commemorated in a new way in his hermitage in Greccio.
This was followed by the devotion of the Rosary, and there was also an opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
Holy Mass was then led by the Definitor of the Province of Bosna Srebrena, OFM Drago Pranješ, in concelebration with the parish priest and guardian, OFM Bono Tomić, the vicar of the Herzegovina Franciscan Province, OFM Miro Šego, and about 15 other priests, as well as the assistance of Franciscan theologians.
The Holy Mass celebration was animated by the parish choir, and gathered numerous believers from various parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the region and the world who arrived to Kraljeva Sutjeska just for this occasion.
After the Holy Mass in the courtyard of the monastery was held XXIV. folklore fair Days of Queen Katarina, where nine societies, choirs and associations presented themselves.
