On Saturday, April 4th, at the chapel of Vrhbosna seminary in Sarajevo, Archbishop of Vrhbosna, cardinal Vinko Puljić, in front of the statue of Our Lady of Fatima, renewed the dedication of the Archdiocese of Vrhbosna to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, with the intention of protecting the Archdiocese at the time of the pandemic.

With cardinal Puljić, the dedication - which was directly transmitted on the YouTube channel, web-portal Nedjelja.ba, and the facebook page of Katolički tjednik, while respecting the prescribed social distance - was also attended by Archbishop Coadjutor of Vrhbosna Msgr. Tomo Vukšić, Rector of Vrhbosna Theological Seminary venerable Zdenko Spajić, and the Cardinal's secretary rev. Štefan Marković.

The dedication, in front of the statue of Our Lady of Fatima, which in 2017. passed through all the parishes of the Archdiocese, began with the prayer of the Rosary - the glorious mysteries, because, as Archbishop Vinko said, Christ by his resurrection had overcome sin, all evil and death. “May it, with its divine power, conquer this evil, which has seized not only our country, but the whole world, the evil of the coronavirus infection. I will pray the Rosary on the one (rosary) I received when I was ordained Archbishop, by Pope John Paul II. I took it as a relic of Pope John Paul II to assist us in these temptations so that we too can be brave and enduring in the fight against evil”, said the Archbishop of Vrhbosna, and began his prayer.

Then followed the Laurentian Litany followed by a consecrated prayer.
