“National Monument Shrine of St. James of the Marches in Deževice, Kreševo municipality, is a cultural landscape connected with historical, religious, cultural and symbolic connections, including elements of the natural area. The almost scenic location and visually striking element is the cave in which the spring is located. This location was visited by tens of thousands of pilgrims each year before the pandemic began.

The sanctuary dates back to the 15^th century and is dedicated to OFM James of the Marches (1391.-1476.), an Italian Franciscan, preacher, writer and vicar of the Bosnian Vicariate from 1435. to 1438.”, writes in the explanation of the Commission.
