Second anniversary of the Foundation of Vrhbosna Archdiocese


The second anniversary of the Vrhbosna Archdiocese Foundation was marked in Vukovar on December 9th.

The ceremony began with a Holy Mass in the church of BVM the Queen of Martyrs, led by the Archbishop of Vrhbosna, cardinal Vinko Puljić.

After the Eucharist, a solemn academy was held at the City Museum, which was attended by members - supporters, donors and many friends of the Foundation. The cultural and musical program was performed by students of the Music School at the elementary school Dragutin Tadijanović.

In his welcome speech, the director of the Foundation, Josip Dabro, pointed out that it arose out of the need “to help the Croatian people and the Catholic Church in BiH as effectively as possible”. In his address, the Cardinal expressed the need for unity of the Croatian people and thanked all donors and then handed over a letter of thanks to the Minister of Regional Development and EU Funds Nataša Tramišak and the President of the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Vukovar Dr. Ljiljana Blažević.

By the way, the Foundation has 114 supporting members, of which 100 are companies and 14 individuals, as well as 28 donors who want to help projects in the Vrhbosna Archdiocese.
