In the premises of the Ordinariate on February 16th, under the chairmanship of the Archbishop of Vrhbosna cardinal Vinko Puljić, the 38th session of the Commission for the Preparation of the Synod of the Vrhbosna Archdiocese (VN) was held. Seven members were present.
After the prayer and greetings, the agenda and minutes from the previous session of November 25th 2020., were adopted. Then the Secretary General of the Synod, Dr. rev. Mario Bernadić presented, among other things, the meeting points: consideration of amendments to the Statute of the VN Synod and drafting of the rules of procedure of the Synod Assembly.
The first topic was presented by the Vicar General of the VN, msgr. Slađan Ćosić, who reminded that it is necessary to think about the end of the synod walk, emphasized the importance of determining the composition of the Synod. He proposed certain amendments and pointed out that in the end the Assembly would have between 115 and 120 members. In addition, he spoke about the organization of the Synod, ie the importance of the election of synod bodies.
Afterwards, the expert groups and their further activities were considered, and the calendar of the Synod was briefly discussed. It was also said that it was necessary to establish three commissions that would have an advisory role: theological, legal and pastoral.
It was finally agreed that the next session of the Commission would be on March 23rd.
