Session of the Priestly Council of the Archdiocese of Vrhbosna


Members of the Priestly Council of the Archdiocese of Vrhbosna (SVVN) held their third regular session on October 9th at the premises of the Ordinary Office in Sarajevo.

The meeting was chaired by Archbishop of Vrhbosna cardinal Vinko Puljić, and present were also: The general vicar Msgr. Slađan Ćosić, Provincial of the Franciscan Province of Bosna Srebrena OFM Jozo Marinčić, and 20 other priests.

The session began with the prayer of the Third Hour, and after the greeting, Dr. OFM Danimir Pezer spoke about the theme - Personal spiritual growth and deepening of the priestly togetherness in the Deanery through monthly spiritual renewals.

Then, Dr. rev. Dubravko Turalija presented on the topic Family-Church in miniature. Parish priests' commitment to family prayer.

A brief report on the progress of the Synod was delivered by Dr. Mario Bernadić, and later on, the attendees discussed the pastoral calendar for 2020.

In the end, there was a discussion and the meeting ended with a fraternal gathering.

The Priesthood Council of the Archdiocese of Vrhbosna represents the entire presbytery of the Archdiocese of Vrhbosna, and its purpose is to assist the Archbishop as his Senate in the administration of the local Church, so as to better harmonize the priest's work for the spiritual good of the people of God.
